their own big world in which we find the first signs of sensation and
intelligence, of will and drives or instincts. That’s reason enough to
examine it closely in the section BACTERIA. Here we will learn that the
transmission of information through viruses was one of the driving
forces of evolution and that higher organisms aren’t anything but
bacterial bonds whose abilities were multiplied and complemented each
other. But what happened in addition was the combination with a bomb of
information which originally existed on its own and which we will get to
